Attention HIKERS! Historic Camp Kilauea is the perfect destination for hiking adventure! Just a short (and we mean SHORT) walk to the scenic Crater Rim Trail. In fact, KMC is close to many of the hiking trails in the National Park.

Each year, beginning on Easter, Hawai`i Island holds a hula competition called Merrie Monarch. It's a week long celebration of of Hawaiian traditions, language and arts.
